Description

A quick and easy Air Fryer Chicken Breast recipe that results in tender, juicy, and perfectly seasoned chicken. This recipe is perfect for a healthy weeknight dinner or meal prep, with minimal effort and maximum flavor.

Ingredients

  • 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp dried thyme (optional)
  • 1/2 tsp dried oregano (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C) for about 3 minutes.
  2. While the air fryer is preheating, pat the chicken breasts dry with paper towels to remove any moisture.
  3. Rub the chicken breasts with olive oil on both sides, then season with garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, pepper, thyme, and oregano (if using).
  4. Place the seasoned chicken breasts in the air fryer basket, making sure they are not overlapping.
  5. Cook the chicken at 375°F (190°C) for 18-20 minutes, flipping halfway through the cooking time. The chicken should reach an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C) when done.
  6. Remove the chicken from the air fryer and let it rest for 5 minutes before slicing to retain its juices.
  7. Serve with your favorite side dishes and enjoy your tender and juicy air fryer chicken breast!

Notes

  • For even more flavor, marinate the chicken breasts for 30 minutes to an hour before cooking.
  • If your chicken breasts are larger, you may need to increase the cooking time by a few minutes. Always check for doneness with a meat thermometer.
  • You can adjust the seasonings to your taste preferences, adding spices like cumin, chili powder, or Italian seasoning for different variations.
  • For crispy skin, you can lightly spray the chicken with cooking spray before placing it in the air fryer.
