Air Fryer Whole Chicken is a quick and easy way to get crispy skin and juicy meat using your air fryer, perfect for a fuss-free weeknight meal or Sunday dinner.
Ingredients
- 1 whole chicken (3.5 to 4 lbs)
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
Instructions
- Preheat the air fryer to 360°F (180°C).
- Pat the chicken dry with paper towels.
- Rub the chicken all over with olive oil.
- In a small bowl, mix salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, and thyme.
- Season the chicken inside and out with the spice mixture.
- Place the chicken breast-side down in the air fryer basket.
- Cook for 30 minutes, then flip the chicken breast-side up and cook for another 25-30 minutes or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
- Let the chicken rest for 10 minutes before carving and serving.
