Ingredients
- 3 cups shredded green cabbage
- 2 cups shredded red cabbage
- 1 cup shredded carrots
- 1 red bell pepper, thinly sliced
- 2 green onions, sliced
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh cilantro
- 1 tablespoon toasted sesame seeds
- 1/4 cup rice vinegar
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup
- 1 teaspoon grated fresh ginger
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons neutral oil (like canola or vegetable)
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine green cabbage, red cabbage, carrots, red bell pepper, green onions, and cilantro.
- In a small bowl or jar, whisk together rice vinegar, soy sauce, sesame oil, honey, ginger, garlic, and neutral oil until well combined.
- Pour the dressing over the slaw and toss to evenly coat.
- Sprinkle with toasted sesame seeds just before serving.
- Let sit for 10–15 minutes to allow flavors to meld, or chill for later.
Notes
- For a spicier version, add a dash of sriracha or chili flakes to the dressing.
