- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/2 cup flour
- 2 large eggs
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1/4 cup hot honey
- 1 tablespoon hot sauce
- 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
- Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a shallow bowl, mix together breadcrumbs, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, pepper, and cayenne pepper.
- In a separate bowl, beat the eggs.
- Dip each chicken breast into the flour, followed by the beaten eggs, and then coat with the breadcrumb mixture.
- Place the coated chicken breasts on the prepared baking sheet and drizzle with olive oil.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the chicken is golden and crispy and the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C).
- While the chicken is baking, prepare the hot honey sauce by combining the hot honey, hot sauce, and apple cider vinegar in a small saucepan over medium heat. Stir until smooth and heated through.
- Once the chicken is done, drizzle the hot honey sauce over the crispy chicken breasts.
- Garnish with chopped fresh parsley, if desired, and serve immediately.
Notes
- For extra heat, increase the amount of cayenne pepper or hot sauce in the honey sauce.
- If you prefer a less spicy version, reduce the hot sauce and cayenne pepper.
- This dish pairs well with a side of roasted vegetables or a simple salad.
