Description

Baked Crunchy Hot Honey Chicken is a delicious fusion of crispy chicken coated in a sweet, spicy honey glaze. The crispy texture combined with the heat and sweetness makes it an irresistible dish.

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup flour
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1/4 cup hot honey
  • 1 tablespoon hot sauce
  • 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
  • Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a shallow bowl, mix together breadcrumbs, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, pepper, and cayenne pepper.
  3. In a separate bowl, beat the eggs.
  4. Dip each chicken breast into the flour, followed by the beaten eggs, and then coat with the breadcrumb mixture.
  5. Place the coated chicken breasts on the prepared baking sheet and drizzle with olive oil.
  6. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the chicken is golden and crispy and the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C).
  7. While the chicken is baking, prepare the hot honey sauce by combining the hot honey, hot sauce, and apple cider vinegar in a small saucepan over medium heat. Stir until smooth and heated through.
  8. Once the chicken is done, drizzle the hot honey sauce over the crispy chicken breasts.
  9. Garnish with chopped fresh parsley, if desired, and serve immediately.

Notes

  • For extra heat, increase the amount of cayenne pepper or hot sauce in the honey sauce.
  • If you prefer a less spicy version, reduce the hot sauce and cayenne pepper.
