Ingredients
Marinade:
- 1/2 cup barbecue sauce
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- 2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
- In a medium bowl, whisk together the barbecue sauce, olive oil, apple cider vinegar, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, Dijon mustard, garlic, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper until fully combined. Pour the marinade over chicken in a zip-top bag or shallow dish, making sure it’s well coated.
- Seal or cover and marinate in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour, preferably 4–8 hours for maximum flavor.
- Remove the chicken from the marinade and grill, bake, or sauté until fully cooked.
Notes
- This marinade works great with boneless or bone-in chicken breasts, thighs, or drumsticks.
- Discard leftover marinade or boil it for 2–3 minutes to use as a basting sauce during cooking.
