Description
BBQ Chicken Wings are juicy, tender, and coated in a sticky, smoky barbecue sauce. These oven-baked or grilled wings are perfect for game day, parties, or any casual gathering.
Ingredients
- 2 pounds chicken wings, split and tips removed
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 cup BBQ sauce (store-bought or homemade)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with foil and place a wire rack on top.
- Pat the chicken wings dry with paper towels. Toss in a large bowl with olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper until evenly coated.
- Arrange the wings in a single layer on the wire rack.
- Bake for 40–45 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden and crispy.
- Remove wings from oven and toss in BBQ sauce until well coated.
- Return to the oven for 5–10 more minutes or broil for 2–3 minutes for extra caramelization.
- Serve hot with extra BBQ sauce on the side if desired.
Notes
- Grill the wings over medium heat instead of baking for a smoky flavor.
- Use parchment instead of foil if not using a wire rack, but flip wings for even crisping.
- Customize with spicy, sweet, or tangy BBQ sauce based on your preference.
