Description

BBQ Chicken Wings are juicy, tender, and coated in a sticky, smoky barbecue sauce. These oven-baked or grilled wings are perfect for game day, parties, or any casual gathering.

Ingredients

  • 2 pounds chicken wings, split and tips removed
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 cup BBQ sauce (store-bought or homemade)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with foil and place a wire rack on top.
  2. Pat the chicken wings dry with paper towels. Toss in a large bowl with olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper until evenly coated.
  3. Arrange the wings in a single layer on the wire rack.
  4. Bake for 40–45 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden and crispy.
  5. Remove wings from oven and toss in BBQ sauce until well coated.
  6. Return to the oven for 5–10 more minutes or broil for 2–3 minutes for extra caramelization.
  7. Serve hot with extra BBQ sauce on the side if desired.

Notes

  • Grill the wings over medium heat instead of baking for a smoky flavor.
  • Use parchment instead of foil if not using a wire rack, but flip wings for even crisping.
  • Customize with spicy, sweet, or tangy BBQ sauce based on your preference.
