- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 small shallot, finely minced
- 1 tbsp capers, finely chopped
- 1 tbsp Dijon mustard
- 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tsp curry powder
- 1/2 tsp paprika
- 1/2 tsp anchovy paste (optional)
- 1 tbsp chopped fresh parsley
- 1 tsp chopped fresh tarragon
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- Salt and black pepper to taste
Instructions
- In a medium bowl, combine all ingredients with the softened butter and mix thoroughly until fully incorporated.
- Place the butter mixture on a sheet of plastic wrap or parchment paper and shape into a log.
- Wrap tightly and refrigerate for at least 1 hour, or until firm.
- Slice into discs and place on top of hot, cooked steak just before serving to melt over the meat.
Notes
- Can be frozen for up to 3 months; slice and use as needed.
- Also excellent over grilled chicken, fish, or vegetables.
- Let butter come to room temperature for easier mixing.
