Description

A flavorful chicken thigh marinade that combines savory, tangy, and slightly sweet ingredients, perfect for grilling, baking, or pan-frying.


Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, whisk together olive oil, soy sauce, honey, Dijon mustard, garlic, lemon juice, thyme, paprika, salt, and black pepper.
  2. Place the chicken thighs in a large resealable plastic bag or shallow dish.
  3. Pour the marinade over the chicken and seal the bag or cover the dish. Refrigerate for at least 1 hour, preferably overnight for maximum flavor.
  4. Remove the chicken from the marinade and discard any excess marinade.
  5. Cook the chicken as desired—grill, bake, or pan-fry until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C).

Notes

  • This marinade is great for boneless or bone-in chicken thighs.
  • For added flavor, marinate the chicken overnight to allow the flavors to fully penetrate.
  • Feel free to add red pepper flakes for a spicy kick, or swap honey for maple syrup for a different sweetness.
