Description

Deliciously spiced Cinnamon French Toast Sticks that are crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, and perfect for breakfast or a quick snack.

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 4 slices thick bread (like brioche or Texas toast)
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/3 cup milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 2 tbsp granulated sugar
  • Butter or oil for frying
  • Maple syrup for serving (optional)

Instructions

  1. Cut each slice of bread into 3 or 4 sticks.
  2. In a shallow bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, and vanilla extract.
  3. In a small bowl, mix cinnamon and sugar; set aside.
  4. Heat a skillet over medium heat and add butter or oil.
  5. Dip each bread stick into the egg mixture, allowing the excess to drip off.
  6. Place coated sticks on the skillet and cook until all sides are golden brown, about 2–3 minutes per side.
  7. Immediately roll cooked sticks in the cinnamon sugar mixture.
  8. Serve warm with maple syrup if desired.

Notes

  • Use day-old bread for best results to prevent sogginess.
  • You can freeze leftover sticks and reheat in the oven or toaster.
  • Adjust cinnamon sugar to taste.
