- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1 large egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 10 chocolate sandwich cookies (like Oreos), coarsely crushed
- 3/4 cup white chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, cream the butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
- Beat in the egg and vanilla extract until smooth.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
- Fold in the crushed cookies and white chocolate chips.
- Scoop dough into 1.5 tablespoon-sized balls and place on prepared baking sheet, spacing about 2 inches apart.
- Bake for 9–11 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden but centers are still soft.
- Cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
- Do not overbake—cookies will continue to set as they cool.
- Crush cookies coarsely for texture; avoid turning them into crumbs.
- Dough can be chilled for 30 minutes for thicker cookies.
