A warm and comforting dessert combining tart cranberries and sweet apples under a buttery oat crumble topping, perfect for fall or holiday gatherings.

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 3 cups peeled and sliced apples (about 3 medium apples)
  • 2 cups fresh or frozen cranberries
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 cup old-fashioned oats
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly grease an 8×8 inch baking dish.
  2. In a large bowl, toss the apples and cranberries with granulated sugar, cinnamon, and lemon juice. Spread evenly in the prepared baking dish.
  3. In a separate bowl, mix oats, flour, brown sugar, and salt. Pour in melted butter and stir until crumbly.
  4. Sprinkle the oat mixture evenly over the fruit.
  5. Bake for 40–45 minutes, or until the topping is golden brown and the fruit is bubbling.
  6. Let cool slightly before serving. Serve warm, optionally with vanilla ice cream.

  • Can be made ahead and reheated before serving.
