Description

Ingredients

  • 1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs (panko for extra crunch)
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • Vegetable oil for frying

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine chicken pieces with buttermilk, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper. Marinate for at least 30 minutes (or overnight for best flavor).
  2. Set up a dredging station with three bowls: one with flour, one with beaten eggs, and one with breadcrumbs.
  3. Heat about 2 inches of vegetable oil in a deep skillet or pot over medium-high heat (350°F or 175°C).
  4. Remove chicken from marinade. Dredge each piece in flour, dip in eggs, then coat with breadcrumbs.
  5. Fry chicken nuggets in batches for 3–4 minutes per side, or until golden brown and fully cooked. Drain on paper towels.
  6. Serve hot with your favorite dipping sauces.

Notes

  • Use an air fryer for a healthier version—spray nuggets with oil and cook at 400°F for 10–12 minutes.
