Easy Chicken Noodle Casserole is a comforting, creamy baked dish made with tender chicken, egg noodles, vegetables, and a cheesy topping. It’s a family-friendly weeknight meal that’s simple to prepare and packed with flavor.
Ingredients
- 3 cups cooked egg noodles
- 2 cups cooked, shredded chicken
- 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of chicken soup
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1 cup frozen peas and carrots
- 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1/2 cup crushed Ritz crackers or breadcrumbs (optional topping)
- 2 tablespoons melted butter (for topping)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
- In a large bowl, combine cream of chicken soup, sour cream, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
- Stir in cooked noodles, chicken, peas and carrots, and half of the shredded cheese.
- Spread the mixture evenly into the prepared baking dish.
- Top with remaining cheese.
- If using, mix crushed crackers or breadcrumbs with melted butter and sprinkle over the top.
- Bake for 25–30 minutes, or until bubbly and golden on top.
- Let rest for 5 minutes before serving.
Notes
- Use rotisserie chicken for a quick shortcut.
- You can substitute Greek yogurt for sour cream if desired.
- Add cooked mushrooms or broccoli for more variety.
