Description

Easy Pineapple Cherry Dump Cake is a quick and delicious dessert made with just a few ingredients. Sweet cherries and tangy pineapple are topped with buttery cake mix and baked to golden perfection — no mixing required!

Ingredients

  • 1 (20 oz) can crushed pineapple, undrained
  • 1 (21 oz) can cherry pie filling
  • 1 box yellow cake mix
  • 1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/2 cup chopped pecans or walnuts (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  2. Pour the crushed pineapple with juice into the dish and spread evenly.
  3. Spoon the cherry pie filling over the pineapple and spread gently.
  4. Sprinkle the dry cake mix evenly over the fruit layers.
  5. Drizzle the melted butter evenly over the cake mix.
  6. Sprinkle chopped nuts on top, if using.
  7. Bake for 45–50 minutes, or until the top is golden and bubbly.
  8. Let cool slightly before serving. Enjoy warm with ice cream or whipped cream if desired.

Notes

  • Do not stir the layers — the ‘dump’ method gives the best texture.
  • Use white or butter cake mix as alternatives to yellow cake mix.
  • Store leftovers covered in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
