Description

Fireworks Blondies are chewy, buttery dessert bars loaded with white chocolate chips and colorful red, white, and blue candy pieces, perfect for celebrating the 4th of July with a festive treat.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 1/4 cups light brown sugar, packed
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1 cup white chocolate chips
  • 1 cup red, white, and blue candy-coated chocolates
  • 1/4 cup red, white, and blue sprinkles (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a 9×13-inch baking pan with parchment paper or lightly grease it.
  2. In a large bowl, mix melted butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until combined.
  3. Add eggs and vanilla extract; mix until smooth.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt.
  5. Gradually add dry ingredients to wet mixture and stir just until combined.
  6. Fold in white chocolate chips and candy-coated chocolates.
  7. Spread the batter evenly in the prepared pan and top with sprinkles if using.
  8. Bake for 25–30 minutes or until the edges are golden and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  9. Cool completely before slicing into squares and serving.

Notes

  • Do not overbake to maintain a chewy texture.
  • Switch out candy colors for other holidays.
  • Can be stored in an airtight container for up to 5 days.
  • Chill before cutting for cleaner edges.
