Fireworks Blondies are chewy, buttery dessert bars loaded with white chocolate chips and colorful red, white, and blue candy pieces, perfect for celebrating the 4th of July with a festive treat.
Ingredients
- 1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, melted
- 1 1/4 cups light brown sugar, packed
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1 cup white chocolate chips
- 1 cup red, white, and blue candy-coated chocolates
- 1/4 cup red, white, and blue sprinkles (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a 9×13-inch baking pan with parchment paper or lightly grease it.
- In a large bowl, mix melted butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until combined.
- Add eggs and vanilla extract; mix until smooth.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt.
- Gradually add dry ingredients to wet mixture and stir just until combined.
- Fold in white chocolate chips and candy-coated chocolates.
- Spread the batter evenly in the prepared pan and top with sprinkles if using.
- Bake for 25–30 minutes or until the edges are golden and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Cool completely before slicing into squares and serving.
Notes
- Do not overbake to maintain a chewy texture.
- Switch out candy colors for other holidays.
- Can be stored in an airtight container for up to 5 days.
- Chill before cutting for cleaner edges.
