Description
Flag Fruit Pizza is a festive and refreshing dessert made with a sugar cookie crust, creamy frosting, and a patriotic arrangement of berries to resemble the American flag—perfect for 4th of July celebrations.
Ingredients
- 1 package (16.5 oz) refrigerated sugar cookie dough
- 1 package (8 oz) cream cheese, softened
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup fresh blueberries
- 1 cup sliced fresh strawberries
- 1 banana, sliced (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Press sugar cookie dough evenly into a greased or parchment-lined 9×13-inch baking pan.
- Bake for 12–15 minutes, or until golden brown. Let cool completely in the pan.
- In a mixing bowl, beat softened cream cheese, granulated sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth and creamy.
- Spread the cream cheese mixture evenly over the cooled cookie crust.
- Arrange blueberries in the top-left corner to represent the stars section of the flag.
- Alternate rows of sliced strawberries and bananas (or more strawberries) to mimic the stripes of the flag.
- Chill in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes before slicing and serving.
Notes
- Use a homemade sugar cookie crust if preferred.
- Best served fresh to avoid banana browning.
- Can substitute whipped topping for cream cheese mixture if desired.
- Store covered in refrigerator for up to 2 days.
