These Funfetti Cinnamon Rolls are a colorful twist on a classic breakfast treat, featuring a soft dough filled with cinnamon-sugar and rainbow sprinkles, topped with a sweet vanilla glaze.

- 2 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 3 tbsp granulated sugar
- 1 tsp salt
- 2 1/4 tsp active dry yeast
- 1/2 cup whole milk, warm
- 1/4 cup water, warm
- 3 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
- 1 large egg
- 1/2 cup rainbow sprinkles
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 2 tsp ground cinnamon
- 3 tbsp unsalted butter, softened (for filling)
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 2–3 tbsp milk (for glaze)
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
Instructions
- In a large mixing bowl, combine 2 cups of flour, sugar, salt, and yeast.
- Add warm milk, warm water, melted butter, and egg. Mix until combined.
- Add remaining flour gradually and knead until a soft dough forms, about 5–7 minutes.
- Fold in rainbow sprinkles gently into the dough.
- Cover and let the dough rise in a warm place for about 1 hour, or until doubled in size.
- Roll dough into a rectangle on a floured surface.
- Spread softened butter over the dough, then sprinkle with a mixture of brown sugar and cinnamon.
- Roll the dough tightly and slice into 9–12 rolls.
- Place rolls in a greased baking dish, cover, and let rise for 30 minutes.
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and bake for 20–25 minutes until golden brown.
- Mix powdered sugar, vanilla, and milk to make the glaze.
- Drizzle glaze over warm rolls and serve.
Notes
- Add more or fewer sprinkles depending on your preference.
- Make the dough the night before and bake fresh in the morning.
- Use parchment paper for easy cleanup.
