Description

The Grapefruit Paloma is a refreshing and tangy Mexican cocktail made with grapefruit juice, lime, tequila, and a splash of soda, perfect for hot days or casual gatherings.

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 2 ounces tequila (blanco or reposado)
  • 1/2 ounce fresh lime juice
  • 2 ounces fresh grapefruit juice
  • 1/2 ounce simple syrup or agave nectar (optional)
  • Club soda or sparkling water, to top
  • Ice
  • Salt or sugar, for rimming (optional)
  • Grapefruit wedge or lime slice, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Optional: Rim a glass with salt or sugar by rubbing the edge with lime and dipping it into the salt or sugar.
  2. Fill the glass with ice.
  3. In a shaker or directly in the glass, combine tequila, lime juice, grapefruit juice, and simple syrup (if using). Stir or shake well.
  4. Top with club soda or sparkling water and stir gently.
  5. Garnish with a grapefruit wedge or lime slice. Serve immediately.

Notes

  • Use pink or ruby red grapefruit juice for a sweeter flavor and vibrant color.
  • Adjust sweetness by adding more or less simple syrup to taste.
  • For a spicy twist, add a few slices of jalapeño or use a chili-salt rim.
