Description

Ground Turkey and Peppers Stir-Fry is a quick, healthy, and flavorful dish made with lean ground turkey, colorful bell peppers, and a savory stir-fry sauce. Perfect for a weeknight dinner served over rice or noodles.


Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 pound ground turkey
  • 1 red bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 yellow bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 green bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 small onion, thinly sliced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh ginger, grated
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon hoisin sauce
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 2 green onions, sliced (for garnish)
  • Cooked rice or noodles, for serving


Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.
  2. Add ground turkey and cook, breaking it apart, until browned and cooked through, about 5–7 minutes. Drain excess fat if needed.
  3. Add bell peppers and onion to the pan. Sauté for 4–5 minutes, until slightly softened.
  4. Stir in garlic and ginger; cook for another 1–2 minutes until fragrant.
  5. In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, hoisin sauce, rice vinegar, sesame oil, and red pepper flakes if using.
  6. Pour sauce over the turkey and vegetables. Stir well to coat and simmer for 2–3 minutes to heat through and blend flavors.
  7. Serve hot over cooked rice or noodles and garnish with green onions.
