Lemon Caper Sauce is a bright and tangy condiment made with lemon juice, capers, garlic, and butter. It’s the perfect finishing touch for fish, chicken, or vegetables, adding a burst of flavor to any dish.
Ingredients
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons capers, drained
- 1/3 cup fresh lemon juice (about 2 lemons)
- 1/4 cup chicken broth or vegetable broth
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley (optional, for garnish)
Instructions
- Heat olive oil and butter in a small skillet over medium heat.
- Add garlic and sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.
- Stir in capers and cook for another minute.
- Pour in lemon juice and broth, stirring to combine.
- Simmer the sauce for 3–4 minutes to slightly reduce and blend the flavors.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Remove from heat and stir in parsley if using. Serve warm over your preferred dish.

- For a creamier version, whisk in a tablespoon of heavy cream at the end.
