Description

Marry Me Chicken is a rich, creamy chicken dish with sun-dried tomatoes and herbs, perfect for romantic dinners or special occasions.

Ingredients

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 3/4 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 cup sun-dried tomatoes, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Fresh basil, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Season the chicken breasts with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and red pepper flakes.
  2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Sear the chicken on both sides until golden brown, about 4-5 minutes per side. Remove and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, add minced garlic and cook for 1 minute until fragrant.
  4. Pour in chicken broth and bring to a simmer, scraping up any brown bits from the bottom of the pan.
  5. Stir in heavy cream, Parmesan cheese, sun-dried tomatoes, and Italian seasoning. Simmer for 3-5 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.
  6. Return the chicken to the skillet and simmer for 8-10 minutes, or until the chicken is fully cooked and the sauce has thickened.
  7. Garnish with fresh basil and serve hot over pasta, rice, or mashed potatoes.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, marinate the chicken for 30 minutes before cooking.
  • You can substitute chicken thighs for chicken breasts for a juicier result.
  • Use freshly grated Parmesan for the best taste and texture.
