Scale
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 3/4 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/2 cup sun-dried tomatoes, chopped
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- Fresh basil, for garnish
Instructions
- Season the chicken breasts with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and red pepper flakes.
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Sear the chicken on both sides until golden brown, about 4-5 minutes per side. Remove and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add minced garlic and cook for 1 minute until fragrant.
- Pour in chicken broth and bring to a simmer, scraping up any brown bits from the bottom of the pan.
- Stir in heavy cream, Parmesan cheese, sun-dried tomatoes, and Italian seasoning. Simmer for 3-5 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.
- Return the chicken to the skillet and simmer for 8-10 minutes, or until the chicken is fully cooked and the sauce has thickened.
- Garnish with fresh basil and serve hot over pasta, rice, or mashed potatoes.
Notes
- For extra flavor, marinate the chicken for 30 minutes before cooking.
- You can substitute chicken thighs for chicken breasts for a juicier result.
- Use freshly grated Parmesan for the best taste and texture.
