Description

Nutella Puff Pastries are flaky, golden bites filled with rich, creamy Nutella. These easy-to-make treats are perfect for breakfast, brunch, or a sweet snack.

Ingredients

  • 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed
  • 1/2 cup Nutella
  • 1 egg (for egg wash)
  • 1 tablespoon water
  • Powdered sugar for dusting (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. On a lightly floured surface, roll out the puff pastry slightly and cut into 6 or 9 equal squares.
  3. Place a heaping teaspoon of Nutella in the center of each square.
  4. Fold the pastry over to form triangles or rectangles, pressing edges with a fork to seal.
  5. In a small bowl, beat the egg with water to create an egg wash. Brush over the tops of the pastries.
  6. Bake for 12–15 minutes, or until puffed and golden brown.
  7. Let cool slightly, then dust with powdered sugar if desired and serve warm.

Notes

  • Don’t overfill with Nutella to avoid leaking during baking.
  • Serve with a scoop of vanilla ice cream for a dessert version.
  • Can be stored in an airtight container for up to 2 days.
