Ingredients
- 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed
- 1/2 cup Nutella
- 1 egg (for egg wash)
- 1 tablespoon water
- Powdered sugar for dusting (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- On a lightly floured surface, roll out the puff pastry slightly and cut into 6 or 9 equal squares.
- Place a heaping teaspoon of Nutella in the center of each square.
- Fold the pastry over to form triangles or rectangles, pressing edges with a fork to seal.
- In a small bowl, beat the egg with water to create an egg wash. Brush over the tops of the pastries.
- Bake for 12–15 minutes, or until puffed and golden brown.
- Let cool slightly, then dust with powdered sugar if desired and serve warm.
Notes
- Don’t overfill with Nutella to avoid leaking during baking.
- Serve with a scoop of vanilla ice cream for a dessert version.
- Can be stored in an airtight container for up to 2 days.
