Description

Red, White and Blue Dirt Cups are a fun and festive no-bake dessert layered with crushed cookies, creamy pudding, and patriotic-colored whipped topping. Perfect for 4th of July celebrations, they’re easy to make and great for kids and adults alike.

Ingredients

  • 1 package (3.4 oz) instant vanilla pudding mix
  • 2 cups cold milk
  • 1 tub (8 oz) whipped topping, thawed
  • 1/2 cup crushed golden Oreos
  • Red food coloring
  • Blue food coloring
  • Patriotic sprinkles or gummy candies (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, whisk together vanilla pudding mix and cold milk for 2 minutes. Let sit for 5 minutes to thicken.
  2. Fold in the whipped topping until fully combined and smooth.
  3. Divide the pudding mixture evenly into three bowls. Tint one bowl red and one blue with food coloring. Leave the third bowl white.
  4. In clear cups or jars, layer blue pudding, then crushed cookies, then white pudding, more crushed cookies, then red pudding.
  5. Top with remaining crushed cookies and decorate with sprinkles or patriotic gummy candies if desired.
  6. Chill in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour before serving.

Notes

  • Use clear plastic cups for a colorful layered effect.
  • Can substitute cream cheese or yogurt for a tangier twist.
  • Prepare up to a day in advance and store in the fridge.
  • Top with mini flags or themed picks for extra flair.
