Ingredients
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 cup Coca-Cola (not diet)
- 1 cup barbecue sauce
- 1 packet onion soup mix (optional for extra flavor)
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Place chicken breasts in the bottom of the slow cooker.
- In a bowl, mix together Coca-Cola, barbecue sauce, and onion soup mix (if using).
- Pour the mixture over the chicken breasts in the slow cooker.
- Cover and cook on low for 6–7 hours or on high for 3–4 hours, until chicken is tender and cooked through.
- Shred the chicken in the slow cooker using two forks and stir to coat evenly in the sauce.
- Serve warm over rice, mashed potatoes, or sandwich buns.
Notes
- You can use thighs instead of breasts for a juicier texture.
