Description

The Spicy Pineapple Mezcal Margarita is a smoky, sweet, and fiery cocktail that combines fresh pineapple juice, lime, mezcal, and a kick of jalapeño for a bold and refreshing drink.

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 2 ounces mezcal
  • 1 ounce fresh lime juice
  • 2 ounces fresh pineapple juice
  • 1/2 ounce orange liqueur (e.g., Cointreau)
  • 1/2 ounce agave nectar (adjust to taste)
  • 23 slices fresh jalapeño (adjust for spice level)
  • Ice
  • Tajin or chili powder and salt, for rimming (optional)
  • Lime wedge and pineapple slice, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Optional: Rim a rocks glass with lime and dip in a mix of Tajin or chili powder and salt. Fill the glass with ice.
  2. In a shaker, muddle the jalapeño slices with lime juice.
  3. Add mezcal, pineapple juice, orange liqueur, agave nectar, and ice to the shaker. Shake vigorously for 15–20 seconds.
  4. Strain into the prepared glass over fresh ice.
  5. Garnish with a lime wedge and a pineapple slice. Serve immediately.

Notes

  • Adjust jalapeño to your heat preference—remove seeds for less spice.
  • Use fresh pineapple juice for the best flavor.
  • Can substitute tequila for mezcal if a less smoky taste is preferred.
