Description
Taco Spaghetti is a fun and flavorful fusion of Mexican and Italian cuisines, combining taco-seasoned ground beef with spaghetti noodles and a cheesy tomato sauce. It’s a one-pan, family-friendly dinner ready in under 30 minutes.
Ingredients
- 8 oz spaghetti
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 packet taco seasoning mix
- 1/2 cup water
- 1 can (10 oz) diced tomatoes with green chilies (Rotel)
- 1 cup tomato sauce
- 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup shredded Monterey Jack cheese
- Chopped cilantro or green onions for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Cook spaghetti according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it up with a spoon.
- Stir in taco seasoning and water. Simmer for 2–3 minutes until thickened.
- Add diced tomatoes with green chilies and tomato sauce. Stir to combine.
- Mix in the cooked spaghetti and toss until well coated.
- Sprinkle both cheeses over the top. Cover and let sit for a few minutes until the cheese is melted.
- Garnish with chopped cilantro or green onions, if desired, and serve hot.
Notes
- Use ground turkey or chicken as a lighter alternative to beef.
- Add corn, black beans, or bell peppers for extra texture and nutrition.
- For a spicy kick, use hot taco seasoning or add jalapeños.
