These Yummy Salmon Burgers with Slaw are a delightful and healthy twist on traditional burgers. Juicy salmon patties are paired with a crunchy cabbage slaw, all sandwiched between soft burger buns. Perfect for a quick and satisfying meal!
Ingredients
Salmon Burgers
- 1 pound skinless salmon fillet, finely chopped or pulsed in a food processor
- 1/4 cup breadcrumbs
- 1 egg
- 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
- 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
- 1 tablespoon chopped fresh dill
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper
- 1 tablespoon olive oil (for cooking)
Slaw
- 2 cups shredded cabbage (green or red)
- 1/2 cup shredded carrots
- 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
- 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
- 1 teaspoon honey
- Salt and pepper to taste
For Serving
- 4 burger buns
- Sliced avocado or tomato (optional)
Instructions
- Prepare Salmon Burgers: In a bowl, combine salmon, breadcrumbs, egg, mayo, Dijon, dill, lemon juice, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Form into 4 patties and chill for 15 minutes.
- Make Slaw: Mix cabbage, carrots, mayo, vinegar, honey, salt, and pepper. Set aside.
- Cook Salmon Patties: Heat olive oil in a skillet and cook patties for 4–5 minutes per side until golden brown and cooked through.
- Assemble Burgers: Place salmon patties on buns, top with slaw, and optional avocado or tomato slices. Serve immediately.
Notes
- You can make the patties ahead and refrigerate or freeze.
- For a lighter option, serve the burgers in lettuce wraps or over greens.
